The Ministry of works is seeking to fill the following position:
1. Auditor (P 5)
Main Duties:
• Position assists in planning audit assignments. Coordinates and reviews audit assignments of Quantity Surveying Auditor as well as performing audit work and exercising limited participation in the management of the section.
• Conduct audit to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records and efficiency of operations in accordance with policies and regulations. Checks abidance of the Ministry of works to the provisions of MOFNE Standers Finance Manual.
• Examine and review affected records within the Ministry and conduct staff interview to ensure proper recording of accounting and other transaction in compliance with established accounting practices
.
Qualification & Experience:
• B. Sc. Degree in Accounting.
• 4 years relevant experience.
2. Quantity Surveying Auditor (P 6 )
Main Duties:
• Perform audits under the guidance of policies and regulations.
• Review, check, audit and prepare report.
• Conduct audit of contract in accordance with recognized current professional practice, standards, and conditions applicable to the Kingdom of Bahrain in compliance with the provisions of the Standard Contract.
• Randomly scrutinize project Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and condition contract
conformance with Ministry approved standards (FIDIC, JTC &Other)
• Audit Proper drawing up of BOQ prior to calling of tenders ensuring they are in-line with standard industry norms.
Qualification & Experience:
• B sc. Degree in Quantity Surveying
• 4 years experience.
