1. Lead the preparation of “Emergency Education Programme Strategy”, by engaging staff, partners, colleagues from Development Programme and other stakeholders working in the area, in accordance with the overall Emergency Programme Strategy.
2. Work with Emergency Team Leader, and Education Team and partner organisation to translate CP/Education Programme strategy into Annual Implementation Plan, with key objectives, milestones, budgets, and M&E Framework.
3. Ensure implementation of Emergency Education programme implementation within budget and time parameters, according to Save the Children approach, standards and quality.
4. Monitor emergency programme quality by ensuring that adequate systems for updating, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating the impact of programmes are in place and reports are regularly submitted to the Emergency Team Leader, Country office, donors and others as appropriate.
5. Strengthen the emergency programme’s education portfolio through capacity building of field staff, through establishing partnerships and networks as well as development of new funding proposals.
6. Provide training, capacity building and technical support to Save the Children staff, partners and government authorities on the planning, implementation and management Emergency Education projects
7. Support the recruitment and induction of project staff and consultants, Conduct evaluation and appraisal of staff
8. Represent Save the Children to government, the UN and other international agencies, donors and bodies including media, proactively identifying opportunities to advocate Save the Children position through building key stakeholder relationships.
9. Comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to child protection, health and safety, code of conduct, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.
